David Petraeus was born on November 7, 1952. He retired a military officer in 2010. He was also a director of the CIA for only a little bit more than a year. When he resigned on November 9, 2012.

Leadership

In 1947 the CIA was signed with of the National Security Agency by President Harry S. Truman. It has only been active for a little while. Its main purpose was to catch and find osmama bin ladin.

History

The CIA has a couple different purposes but the main reason is to stop terrorism. During world war 2 it made a organization called the OSS which played a major part in WWII.
