The Process Flow
• When putting together your presentation for our event, we would like you to keep in mind that we are looking for you to talk about a specific example of how your company identified a waste source, strategized to minimize this waste source, and how you reduced it. Try to think of it as telling a story rather than a broad summary of Aveda's efforts.
• When tackling a specific waste stream – how do you decide which one? How do you prioritize your waste (or more broadly, sustainability) challenges?
• How does the magnitude of waste reduction when working downstream with consumers compare with waste reduction effortsmade within your facility?
• Are there challenges specific to an external initiative – working downstream with consumers – that are different from working internally? (e.g. more education, outreach)
• What strategies have you used to draw in customers and involve them in Aveda’s waste reduction efforts?
