Believe in the nature of existence as suffering and in the Four Noble Truths.

RIGHT INTENT

Incline toward goodness and kindness. compassion rather than selfishness).

RIGHT SPEECH

Avoid lies and gossip don't tell lies, avoid harsh, abusive speech,

avoid gossip).

RIGHT ACTION

Don’t steal from or harm others help others, live honestly, don't harm living

things, take care of the environment.

RIGHT LIVELIHOOD

Reject work that hurts others do something useful, avoid jobs which harm

others

RIGHT EFFORT

Prevent evil and do good. Do things that won’t hurt you encourage good, helpful thoughts,

discourage unwholesome destructive thoughts

RIGHT MINDFULNESS

Control your feelings and thoughts be aware of what you feel, think and do

RIGHT CONCENTRATION Practice proper meditation calm mind, practice meditation which leads

to nirvana
