You do not require a referral to attend BNE.

•You can simply arrive, or come via your GP’s advice or by ambulance (yes, you can ask the ambulance driver to bring you to BNE).

Adults

• We treat most adult conditions with the exception of multi-trauma, DVA, psychiatric and obstetrics patients greater than 22 weeks.

(who should all be seen at a large public or relevant facility)

Children

• We see children of all ages and treat most childhood accidents and illnesses.

• Our doctors and nursing staff have many years of paediatric emergency experience.

• We have access to paediatricians across Brisbane for ongoing care and management if hospitalisation is required.

• You do not require private insurance*.

• All private emergency facilities require a similar GAP payment (around $250-$300).

• Our fees can be explained to you on arrival to BNE.
