Advocacy Day is on March 23rd, 2016!

Mental Health Advocacy Day will be held in the rotunda of the first floor of the

State House at 11:00 AM. Advocacy Day is a day to celebrate mental health

and for all the South Carolina

advocates to come together to

raise their voices for the treatment,

research, and education of mental

health services. We hope to have

at least 100 people in the rotunda

on March 23rd to show our

strength and dedication to those

who are our friends, relatives, and

loved ones with psychiatric

disabilities.

Important Dates in March!

Activities are open for all members but Spartanburg trips need to RSVP & approval

from Bridges Staff.

Fri. 4th 9AM-4 PM: Denmark Trip-Amish restaurant and bakery

Sat. 12th 11:30AM: Gantt Street Social at William’s Place (lunch & music)

Sat. 19th 2PM-5PM: Food truck on Meeting Street & thrift store shopping

Thurs. 24th 3PM-7:30PM Thrift Store and Harbor Inn Restaurant

Wed.30 3PM-5PM: Craft class & baking activity at William’s Place

Mon. 14th & Mon. 21st: Spartanburg supply shopping

New Building Progress!

The new wing is complete, and now the

construction/renovation has begun on the old side

of the building! We are very excited to see the

progress and hope to be using the entire facility in

as few as 6 weeks, if all goes according to

schedule. See below for a photo of one of the

brand new hallways!

Surprise Engagement! On February 18th Terry proposed to Peaches with all the Bridges family

there to witness the event! Peaches accepted and they have plans already

to get some of the required paperwork done. Here are some photos from

the happy event, and congratulations to the happy couple!
