NATURAL V. BUILT

I’ve never given myself any excuse to leave the city for

a small trip such as one to Muir Woods, a place

travelers from all around the world come to visit.

I was glad when we were assigned to visit some place

new because not only was I meeting that rule of the

assignment by visiting somewhere I’ve never been

before, I finally excused myself to cross that Cherry

Red (Golden Gate) Bridge and visit John Muir’s famous

red woods .

Who needs dirt when you

have dead leaves?

Tannin (poisonous to human beings) is what makes the trees so red.

WHAT A

STRANGE

FORMATION

It’s a good thing I don’t live down town! Otherwise, I think I’d be

taking neighborhoods like China Basin and Dogpatch for

granted.

It was a real treat to see San Francisco like I’ve never seen it

before. I ’ve seen only seen the buildings of China Basin from

afar. They’re always a beauty from miles away but they look

even better up close.

Let’s just say I know where I’d like to take my dog out to for our

next weekend outing.

DOG LOVER HAVEN

It looks like short stair cases for giants.

Boat houses? That’s just crazy!

Oh, you know.

Just the coolest garden in San Francisco! MISSION CREEK GARDEN
