On Thursday, September 20, 2018, 8 students from St. Raphael School were invited to attend WE Day at
the Scotia Bank Arena in Toronto with Mrs. Bredin and Mrs. Toews. WE Day is a motivational event
driven by an educational initiative, WE Schools. Together, they unite and empower a new generation to
change the world from “me” to “we”—from an emphasis on the individual to the power of community.
It was an inspiring event that brought together world-renowned speakers, A-list performers, and
thousands of youth to celebrate a year of achievements that assisted communities and changed lives.
WE Day and WE Schools empower youth to find their passion and make the change they want to see.
These students have committed to taking action on one local and one global cause. They will now use
the WE Schools resources that have been sent to our school to organize and participate in the various
WE initiatives. Stay tuned for more details…
