LEAN
To deliver innovative, smart mechanical solutions that add value to the 75/125 Binney Street Project through collaborative work practices. Our Limbach Modeling & Production System Team will work with the design team to ensure the highest value is achieved throughout the design, fabrication and installation process.
OURMISSION
IIF
We have made safety a part of the cultural fabric of our Company, where all employees are entitled to a safe and healthful work environment.

LEAN
• The effective design of work practices to ensure that our time is spent engaged in activities that add value rather than searching for information, tools or materials
• Project planning for material storage and handling that seeks to maintain jobsite crew productivity and workflow - including offsite fabrication
• Defining and delivering on commitments as a collaborative participant in the construction process
• Peer Reviewed project plans to leverage the collective knowledge of the entire Limbach organization
• Supporting or leading, where necessary, the implementation of LEAN project delivery systems through in-house facilitation
• Establishment of collaborative pull planning sessions, weekly planning and daily huddles to ensure the levels of communication remain high and obstacles are removed from the path of the installation crews
HIGHLIGHTS OF LIMBACH’S LEAN STRATEGIES INCLUDE:
COLLABORATIVEENVIRONMENTS
WE UNDERSTAND
• The importance of first building a collaborative environment where potential solutions are evaluated by a cross functional team for their merit in delivering value to the project overall
• How to establish a highly functioning “colo” team by ensuring fundamental project management principles are defined and set in place by a BIM Implementation Plan. Limbach New England’s recent experience on the Harvard Fogg Museum of Art has provided a wealth of lessons learned on those principles.
• That beyond simply “making things fit”, the “colo” coordination process is the opportunity to hone in on the sequence of installation that minimizes waste in the field and exposes opportunities to improve upon the project schedule
• That field installation experience at the “colo” table is critical to its success
Limbach Modeling & Production System is “where the model lives” from engineering concept, through estimating and planning, into fabrication and installation and throughout the life of the building in facilities management, a common database across all elements ensures delivery of the right information in the model at the right time
Through the implementation of a model based cost and labor estimating system, Limbach is armed with the data necessary to explore more design options and make decisions early in the design process that reflect with accuracy the impact on construction process
Integration of “Systems That Work” enable Limbach Project Managers to focus the team on proactive issue resolution
