According to the CDC, more than 1/3 of adults in America are obese [1].
Approximately 17% of youth are obese [1].
According to the 2011 Lucas County health assessment, 71% of Lucas County adults were overweight or obese based on their BMI [2].
According to the 2011 Lucas County health assessment, 13% of Lucas County adults have been diagnosed with diabetes [2].

Objective: Publish a toolkit for the YMCA/JCC sites that provides the step-by-step process of incorporating better choice vending machine options.
Strategy: Develop, record and apply a strategic plan for healthier vending machine and education options within the YMCA/JCC community.
Tactics: Documentation of before and after Design “Better Choice” menus for each YMCA/JCC site Order items from AVI and have the vendor stock each YMCA/JCC
vending machine within the standards of the “Better Choice” criteria
Post the YMCA/JCC “table top” health hints every month in each site
