BOARD REPORT
The Board met in June and welcomed two new members to the team – Steve Bosak and James Smith. The board reviewed the monthly financials, deed restriction violations and delinquent accounts. Quotes were requested to repaint the pool fencing which is beginning to rust and repair a pole on the playscape. The Board also requested quotes to replace broken and loose tiles on the perimeter fence. The Board also obtained quotes to clear the drainage area at the end of Orsobello and near the Plaza Bella Way entrance and the quotes will be presented to the Bella Vista MUD Board for consideration at its August meeting.
Monthly Board meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month and a notice will be posted on the Bella Vista website with the location at least 3 days before the meeting. If you would like to receive an email of the meeting notice, please register on the Bella Vista website under “email bulletins.”
Sincerely, Bella Vista HOA Board of Directors
Pool Season At Bella Vista! Now that the warm weather is upon us the pool is getting as much use as any time of the
year, here are a few thoughts for everyone to keep in mind:The pool is a common area. As owners in Bella Vista we are all responsible for insuring the
rules regarding the pool usage are followed. If any user is in violation of the pool rules we as adults should provided guidance for those breaking the rules since violating the Bella Vista Pool Rules could lead to suspension of one’s pool privileges. If you observe activities that are not acceptable, report it to RealManage.
Glass: There should never be glass in the pool area. Broken glass in the pool will result in considerable expense to all home owners. In some instances the pool may even have to be drained! Between the costs of clean-up, water to refill the pool, and sunny days lost it just isn›t worth bringing glass into the pool area.
Diapers: All children who are not potty trained should wear a swimmer diaper. That being said, accidents happen and if this happens to your child, or if you believe you saw something that looks like a blow-out occur, please call RealManage immediately so the pool service company can test the water. Water contaminated with fecal matter can lead to serious illness. Let›s make sure we all can swim in clean water.
Children: Children under the age of 15 years must be accompanied by an adult. Written permission from an adult member for a guardian to accompany a minor must be available for inspection upon request of an adult member at all times while at the pool facility. Authorized guardian must be 18 years of age or older.
Vandalism - If you observe anyone throwing furniture into the pool, vandalizing the property or any other improper conduct please ask them to stop or you will contact the authorities. Do not hesitate to call Travis County Sherriff office and notify RealManage should acts of vandalism continue. Please obtain names and address of these individuals so that the parents can be contacted.
Maintenance & Cleaning - During pool season (April-October) the pool is cleaned three times per week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Monday is reserved for potential chemical treatment. If you observe areas of the pool that have not been cleaned, please report it to RealManage.

Considering Volunteering? The Volente Fire Department provides a great opportunity to
give back to your community and learn valuable life saving skills. Volunteers are needed for the following position to augment the current paid and volunteer staff:
MEDICAL FIRST RESPONDERS:First responder is a person who has completed a course and received
certification in providing pre-hospital care for medical emergencies. They have more skill than someone who is trained in basic first aid but they are not a substitute for advanced medical care rendered by emergency medical technicians (EMTs), emergency physicians, nurses, or paramedics.
First responders are trained on cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), automated external defibrillator usage, spinal and bone fracture immobilization, oxygen and, in some cases, emergency childbirth as well as advanced first aid.
The VFD pays for certification training to qualified and committed personnel for ECA-Emergency Care Attendant and EMT-Emergency Medical Technician.
You will respond from your own home and start patient care prior to the arrival of the EMS and fire engine crews and time is of the essence on many medical emergencies. Stop by the fire station or send an email to Chief Walter Groman at WGroman@vvfd.net. Help save lives by volunteering with the Volente Fire Department today.

Oak wilt, is caused by the fungus Ceratocystis fagacearum, and is the most destructive disease affecting live oaks and red oaks in Central Texas. Most of the tree mortality results from tree-to-tree spread of the pathogen through interconnected or grafted root systems, once an oak wilt center becomes established.
New infection areas begin when beetles carry oak wilt fungal spores from infected red oaks to fresh, open wounds on healthy oaks. Wounds include any damage caused by wind, hail, vehicles, construction, squirrels, birds or pruning.
Research has shown that both oak wilt fungal mats on infected red oaks and insects that carry oak wilt spores are most prevalent in the spring. Below is a brief description of how you can reduce the risk of fungal spread when pruning.• Always paint fresh wounds on oaks, including pruning cuts and
stumps, with wound dressing or latex paint immediately after pruning or live tree removal at all times of the year.
• Clean all pruning tools with 10% bleach solution or Lysol™ between sites and/or trees.
• If possible avoid pruning or wounding of oaks during the spring (February 1 through June 30).
Regardless of the time of year, proper pruning techniques should be used. If you are uncertain about any of this information, please consult with a Texas Oak Wilt Certified arborist, ISA Certified Arborist, or an oak wilt specialist from a city, county or state government agency such as the Texas Forest Service or Texas AgriLife Extension Service.
