• Kindergarten teachers are teaching HCPSS Common Core Mathematics Curriculum

• ALL other teachers are teaching HCPSS Essential Curriculum and infusing – writing standards – lessons that encourage students to

demonstrate Standards for Mathematical Practices

• Curriculum staff is doing work that will lead to HCPSS Common Core Curriculum

• New curriculum will be phased in over time

• Many teachers will have some revised materials in August 2012
