FromthePrincipal: ThankyoutoallfamilymembersthathelpedwithourValentine’sDayparties.Whatafunday! IwouldalsoliketothanktheBBTandalloftheparentsforprovidingthefantasticlunchforourteachersonconferenceday.Iknoworganizingsuchanendeavorcanbeachallenge,butitistrulyappreciatedbyourstaff!!Thankyoualsotoallofthefamiliesthatattendedparent/teacherconferences.Atlastcount,ourteacherswereabletomeetwith97%ofourfamiliesinpersonandareworkingtocompletethoselastfewconferenceswithfamiliesthatwereunabletoattend. Duetosnowdaysandillness,wehaveunfortunatelyhadtopostponeourIirstgrademusicprogram.IamsoappreciativeofourfamiliesandtheirIlexibilityasweworkedtosecureanewdateforourprogram.TheprogramisnowscheduledforMonday,March4at6:00p.m.intheBLHSauditorium. From the Library:As we work through this

month of February, remember, Spring really will come.

I know that with the many snow/ice/cold days it has been tough to keep up with what day your child needs to have their books back. If you don’t still have an A-E calendar you might request one from the school.

My thanks to everyone trying to keep up with this.

We have been looking at Non-fiction books and Black History books in 3-5. We’ve also been looking at biographies. We’ll also be looking at resources for research in 3-5th.

K-2 has been looking at Non-fiction books also as well as looking at some new fun authors.

Next month we will be highlighting Dr. Seuss!

Save the date note. The BIS bookfair will be held April 8-12th. Our big family night/art show will be on Monday, April 8th. More info. will come home later.
