The movie camera is a type of photographic camera which
takes a rapid sequence of photographs on an image sensor
strips of film. The very first patented film camera was designed in England by
Frenchman Louis Le Prince in 1888. He built and patented an
earlier 16 lens camera in 1887 at his workshop in Leeds.
A mobile phone is a phone that can make and receive
telephone calls over a radio link while moving around a wide geographic area. One of the earliest descriptions can be found in the 1948
science fiction novel Space Cadet by Robert Heinlein. The first handheld mobile
cell phone was demonstrated by Motorola
in 1973.
MPEG-1 more commonly referred to as MP3, is an audio coding format for
digital audio which uses a form of loss data compression.
In 1894, the American physicist Alfred M. Mayer
reported that a tone could be rendered inaudible by another
tone of lower frequency.
PlayStation is a series of video game consoles created and
developed by Sony Computer Entertainment. The brand was first introduced on December
3, 1994 in Japan with the launch of the original PlayStation console.
PlayStation was the brainchild of Ken Kutaragi, a Sony
executive who had just come out of his hardware
engineering division at that time and would later be
dubbed as "The Father of the PlayStation".
DVD is a digital optical disc storage format, invented and developed by Philips, Sony,
Toshiba, and Panasonic in 1995. DVDs can be played in multiple types of players, including DVD players. Pre-recorded DVDs are mass-produced using molding
machines that physically stamp data onto the DVD. Such discs are known as DVD-ROM, because data can only be read and not written or
erased.
Xbox is a video gaming brand created and owned by Microsoft. The brand was first introduced on November 15, 2001 in the United
States, with the launch of the original Xbox console. That
original device was the first video game console offered by an
American company after the Atari Jaguar stopped sales in 1996.
iPad is an iOS-based line of tablet computers designed and marketed by Apple Inc. The first iPad was
released on April 3, 2010. An iPad can shoot video, take photos, play
music, and perform Internet functions such as web-browsing
and emailing.
