Appointments are made at the office, at least with one week notice.

*Class begins at 7:30 a.m. Any student that comes in after that time will be late.

*After 7:30, students should wait in the office for late pass.

*Attendance is crucial to your child’s success.

*After an absence, please send a note with your child when returning to school.

• Physical Education Days:

Tuesday and Friday

Art Class: Wednesday and Thursday

•Students are responsible of their materials. Please check that your child has at least (2) pencils, an eraser, glue, scissors and highlighter.

•Always use your uniform!

•Homework is due on the date the teacher assigns. If the student doesn’t bring in the assignment on the due date he/she will lose half the points. (Students will have homework everyday, except on Friday). Homework reinforces what has been thought in class.

•Healthy snacks, PLEASE!

For Birthday Recognition During School Hours:      * Parents should notify the teacher at least one week in advance of a classroom birthday party.*Students can bring cupcakes to share with the class. (If the parents choose to bring cake it is their responsibility to be at school on time to serve it.) *The teachers will assist the parent if needed, but will not be in charge of the event. If a parent cannot be present for the event, it must be discussed and cleared with the teacher so the teacher can take charge and make the necessary arrangements.*For beverages, parents can provide fruit juice or water.*It should not take more than 30 minutes of class time and can be at the end of the school day.

•Please remind students NOT to bring toys or other personal items to school.

•We encourage you to bring a water bottle for your child to have during recess.

•You will be notified when special items will be allowed.

Tests: 100 pts.

Quizzes: 50 pts.

Homework: 25 pts.

Class Work: 40 pts.

Reading Journals will be due at the end of every month.

(Don’t wait till the last day of the month to read)
