Axxcelera WiMAX
Axxcelera Management System
(AMS 3.0)
Overview
• The Axxcelera Management Server (AMS) is a centralized server (framework) that stores information for Axxcelera network devices (CPE, BSM/AP).
• The AMS framework includes three separate Applications: Map Browser, Axxcelera Link Statistics (ALS), and Axxcelera Provisioning System (APS).
• At the center of the AMS suite of tools is AxxCore. AxxCore contains all the common elements used by APS, ALS and Map Browser.
• Map Browser harnesses the power of Google Maps to present a graphical view of a planned and deployed network.
• Axxcelera Link Statistics (ALS) can collect link statistics for historic and real time viewing. • Axxcelera Provisioning System (APS) allows system configuration to be a consistent,
repeatable process by automating the provisioning of every Axxcelera device in the network. • AxxCore interacts with all Axxcelera WiMAX devices via SNMPv2c or SNMPv3.
Axxcelera Application Console (AAC)
• The AAC provides a flexible and powerful interface into AMS. • All interaction with AMS occurs through AAC.
Map Browser
• Map Browser uses Google maps to render a real world visualization of your wireless network from planning to deployment.
• Channel frequency, bearing, and estimated downlink ranges are clearly displayed over satellite or map imagery.
Axxcelera Link Statistics (ALS)
• ALS allows the collection of correlated downlink and uplink, historic and real time link statistics on a per-CPE or per-sector basis.
• ALS collects data that allows the network operator to trend and troubleshoot wireless links.
• Flexible collection schedules can be assigned on a sector by sector basis. • ALS collects Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
– RSSI – CINR – FEC Errors – Throughput – Tx Power – QoS Drops – Temperature – and more…
ALS (Real Time View)
• This view of link statistics allows a network operator to troubleshoot CPE issues in real time.
• Display integrates “snap shot” values and configurable time domain historical data in one easy to read display.
ALS (Historic Data View) – Link View
• Historical data collections allow the network operator to view long term trend data from a single CPE link.
• Supports user selectable date range.
ALS (Historic Data View) – Sector View
• Historical data collections allow the network operator to view long term trend data of all CPE links in a given sector.
• Supports user selectable date range.
Event Log
• Event Log displays system events and traps in real time or for a specified date range.
• The events can be filtered based on severity. • Columns can be sorted.
Axxcelera Provisioning Server (APS)
• Axxcelera Provisioning Server is a centralized database that stores all AP/BS/CPE configuration-information and provisions that information to a CPE each time it registers to an AP/BS.
• Works via SNMP “sets and gets” • AP/BS is configured to send SNMP traps/inform messages to the
APS server automatically when it is added to APS. • Provides a centralized location for the storage of all configuration
information. • Enforces configuration management throughout the network.
Axxcelera Provisioning Server (APS)
• APS menus are integrated into ACC.
• Global configuration options set for template inclusion for provisioning to devices.
Axxcelera Provisioning Server (APS)
• Configuration items are defined through the “Manage” drop down menu.
• Many different settings for the same item can be created.
• Once a configuration item has been created, it is available to be assigned to one or more templates.
• These items great a pool of globally available options for the designer to chose in configuring the network.
Axxcelera Provisioning Server (APS)
• Packages contain a set of configuration templates.
• Templates select configuration items and values.
• Devices or groups of devices, are provisioned specific packages and configured according to the templates contained therein.
