• Others (Fatigue etc)
• Risk Assessments carried out and mitigation measures implemented
to bring the risks under ALARP (As Low As Reasonably Practical).
• Risk owners are identified and periodicity for review is specified.
• Incidents related to hazards are mapped.
• Effectiveness of mitigation measures are monitored continuously
and additional measures are initiated as required.
Periodic Maintenance System
Activities to ensure availability of single runway for operations:
▪ Airport operations closed on Tuesdays from 1230h-1500h for
carrying out preventive maintenance activities on maneuvering
area.
▪ Average runway friction level is kept above .6µ at all times
(Regulatory Requirement – above .5µ). Rubber removal operations
undertaken during night & routine maintenance slot.
▪ All electrical systems are kept serviceable and rectification works
has been taken up immediately.
▪ Aero Bridges are maintained without any major incidents or down
time.

• All the works in Airside are cleared after Method of Work Plan
(MOWP).
• Audits carried out to ensure works carried out as per directions.
• Non Conformity Report (NCR) issued and remedial actions initiated.
Production Vs Protection
▪ Production without safety is Accident and Protection without production
is Bankruptcy.
▪ Allocation of adequate resources (Man, machine, environment etc) to
maintain safe working conditions.
▪ Detailed and regular gap analysis to ascertain the balance between
production and protection.
▪ Necessary remedial actions are initiated to keep the balance.
