1 INTRODUCTION
1.1 PURPOSE
The intent of this Product Ordering Guide is to assist customers and approved resellers when ordering the WTM
3300.
For more detailed information on the WTM 3300, please refer to the technical documentation.

3 HOW TO ORDER
This section illustrates how to create and order/bill of material for a 1+0 terminal and link.
NOTE: Only one configuration 1+0 is available at this time, either with PoE interface or with
Ethernet and direct 48 VDC interface.
Step 1, Select the ODR
There are two model options available, one with integrated flat antenna and one with antenna interface, further on
product is divided into variant that supports PoE interface and variant that supports Ethernet plus 48 VDC
interface.
Option 1: WTM 3310p with PoE interface
uses a 38 dBi integrated flat antenna and PoE interface. Has the smallest physical/aesthetic foot-print of any of the
WTM 3300 models. In terms of antenna gain – the performance is similar to that of a 0.2 meter (0.6´) parabolic
antenna.

Option 3: WTM 3305p with PoE interface
This model comes without integrated antenna, with PoE interface and need to be composed with external
parabolic antenna options. 0.3 m (1 ft) and 0.6 m (2 ft) parabolic antenna options are used to achieve longer
distance links than the WTM 3310. The main trade-off is that WTM 3305 with antenna is larger and heavier
compared to the WTM 3310.

Step 2a, Select the Mount, when W3310 option is needed
Universal mount kit is used when WTM 3310 model is used.

The universal mount kit can be used for both pole and wall mount scenarios. In the case of wall mounting an
additional wall mount extension bracket can be used to create additional clearance and maximum alignment
flexibility (see Section 0).
Step 2b, Select the parabolic antenna, when W3305 option is selected
Parabolic antenna, 0.3 m (1 ft) or 0.6 m (2 ft) is used together with WTM 3305 model.
0.3 m (1 ft) Point to Point Dish provides 44 dBi antenna gain is compliant to ETSI and ANSI regulatory.
0.6 m (2 ft) Point to Point Dish provides 51 dBi antenna gain is compliant to ETSI and ANSI regulatory.

Step 3, Select the Ethernet cable
The Ethernet cabling distance between the WTM 3300 ODR and the Ethernet Connected Device is limited to a
maximum of 100m in accordance with the Ethernet PHY standards. Table 3-2 shows the Cat5e weatherproof
cable kit options that can be used depending on the required separation distance between the ODR and the ECD.
It should be noted that where an in-line PoE injector is used the 100 m (328´) separation rule still applies – i.e. the
use of an injector does not allow doubling or extending the maximum separation distance.

Step 4: Select Power Option
There are two supported options for powering a WTM 3300 ODR:
Option 1: PoE injector
In this scenario, a single Cat5e weatherproof cable is used to deliver both power over ethernet cable (POE) and
traffic to the ODR’s electrical GbE interface (Figure 3-4). It is a useful option in deployment scenarios where a
single cable is desirable. The trade-off comes in the shape of the PoE injector which is deployed (in-line), requires
separate mounding (indoor only) and connection to both the ECD and site power supply. The PoE option offers
flexibility in site scenarios where only 220 VAC or -48 VDC power sources are available.
A listing of PoE injector options is shown in Section 4.6.
Option 2: -48 VDC direct feed
This requires that the ODR is directly connected to a -48 VDC power source at the site over 3 way terminal block
available on the WTM 3300 pigtail cable. Preferred DC cable options for connecting ODR with power source are
listed in below Table 3-3.

In effect, this is a two cable solution and offers 100 % zero indoor footprint; traffic and power is delivered to the
ODR on separate cables. In some situations a single cable option may be desirable and this can be achieved
using Option 1; PoE injector.

4 SOLUTION ELEMENTS & OPTIONS - IN DETAIL
4.1 WTM 3300 OUTDOOR RADIO (ODR)
The Aviat WTM 3300 is standards based all outdoor E-band radio for 1+0 unprotected configurations. It operates in
common licensed E-band frequency bands: 71 to 76 GHz and 81 to 86 GHz supporting 250 MHz channel spacing
and Ethernet/IP throughput from 360 Mbps and up to 1 Gbps in 1.x SW version.
The WTM 3300 provides native Ethernet transport for packet communications and is capable of operating as a
standalone Ethernet link or integrated with third party Ethernet equipment vendors via an industry standard
100/1000 BaseT interface.
WTM 3300 is simple to install. It is managed by an in-band IP/Web based Craft Tool called ePortal or by CLI. WTM
3300 supports local and network-wide element management. It uses SNMP for integration with higher level
network management systems.
Antenna is integrated in the ODR housing at WTM 3310 option and requires therefore no additional mounting
procedures while deploying. WTM3305 comes without integrated antenna but is compatible with high gain 3rd
party
external parabolic 0.3 m (1 ft) or 0.6 m (2 ft) parabolic antenna.
The drawings in Figure 4-1 illustrate the WTM 3300 ODR and its interfaces.

4.1.1 WTM 3300 ODR PART NUMBER STRUCTURE
The alpha numeric WTM 3300 part number is structured as shown in Figure 4-2. Each element of the part number
is further explained in Table 4-1. WTM 3300 part number represents a single terminal. A terminal equals 1 x WTM
3300 ODR.

4.2 MOUNTING KITS AND ACCESSORIES
WTM 3300 terminal can be mounted on a pole or on a wall.
Universal mount kit enables mounting on a pole or on a wall. The universal mounting kit supports installations on a
pole with diameter range from 40 mm (1.5˝) to 115 mm (4 ½˝) or on a wall.

Wall Mount Extension Bracket
The optional wall mount extension bracket enables further stand-off from the wall. It allows the ODR to be mounted
at greater angles from the wall. Incline planes with threaded holes for attaching the ODR enable installation at
greater angles. Refer to Product Description for further details and specifications.

WTM 3300 can be powered using a direct 48 VDC power feed. 3-way terminal block is available on the separate
pigtail cable as shown on below Figure 4-13. This port can be used if the deployment site is equipped with its own
48 VDC power source.

4.7 LICENSES; (SW VER. 1.1)
In the future SW version 1.1 and SW version 1.2, WTM 3300 will support capacity licenses and several different
feature licenses. By default, WTM 3300 is shipped with 450 Mbps payload capacity and with no licensed feature
enabled.
All licenses listed in Table 4-9 are specific to the WTM 3300 series and must be specified as separate line items at
each order and next to the corresponding ODR.
4.7.1 CAPACITY LICENSES
Capacity licenses available for the WTM 3300 are listed in Table 4-9. To see the link capacities supported by the
WTM 3300, and the nominal Ethernet throughput and latency figures for each capacity, go to WTM 3300 Product

5 ANCILLARY ITEMS
5.1 INSTALLATION TOOLS
5.1.1 INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE KIT
Installation and maintenance kit includes console cable for local management access, RSSI measurement cable
for voltmeter and Factory reset plug.
The RSSI measurement cable is used to measure the signal level during installation or maintenance. The cable is
inserted into the LMC interface (Local Maintenance and Commissioning Interface) during the installation or
maintenance procedure.
These are optional accessories but are recommended that each field engineer carries one kit.

5.2 LIGHTNING ARRESTORS
Ethernet and DC Lightning arrestors are available as an optional accessory that can be used at
areas with frequent lightning strikes. It is highly recommended to use surge protection to
protect indoor ECD and Powering devices.
This is particularly recommended for configurations where WTM 3300 is powered over Direct 48
VDC power feed and when Ethernet cable is connected directly to ECD without PoE injector.
Lightning arrestors are mountable to the DIN rail, DIN rail is not part of the kit and needs to be
sourced separately.
Ethernet interface and DC power interface at WTM 3300 are protected with an internal surge arrestor. PoE injector
interface is also protected with surge arrestor.
RJ 45 Ethernet Lightning protector
The recommended arrestor for WTM 3300 site installations is part number 074-310003-001.
This surge arrestor is installed at building entry for protecting equipment from surges carried down Ethernet cable
connecting indoor and outdoor equipment. Indoor connection from the surge arrestor to the PoE injector or to the
ECD may use a standard Ethernet patch cable.

5.6.1 AVIATCARE SLA SERVICES
NOTE: Our AviatCare SLA program includes two bundled services focused on offering
customers a higher level of support beyond that of our standard warranty.
Extended Warranty
Extends the standard warranty coverage and increases responses to support requests from 8x5 only to 24x7x365
coverage.
WarrantyPlus
Enhanced level of support that expands Aviat Networks Standard Warranty to include 24x7x365 priority technical
support, advanced replacements, software maintenance, and repair logistics, where we pick up equipment needing
repairs directly from the customer.
Various AviatCare support options are available for customers in every region the WTM 3300 are sold. Durations
for these AviatCare branded Support services can range up to 5 years. Longer the service is signed up for with the
equipment the higher the discount will be off of list for the service – helping drive lower TCO for the product over
time. Customized support plans can be offered to meet the customer’s specific requirements relative to On-site
Support, Spared Management, Corrective Maintenance, Preventive Maintenance, and even Remote Monitoring of
the equipment if required.
Customers who sign up for AviatCare Support at least once are more likely to continue to purchase AviatCare
Support going forward. They also gain from reduced financial administrative processing: a single PO versus
multiple, per event or per release POs.
Please talk with your regional Support Services prime to understand fully what can be offered for your customer
relative to the WTM 3300.
