Introduction: Long Lou Pond Property (Clarenville): Map 2D/01 Licence # 015379m These 12 claims are located approximately 5 km. east from the town of Clarenville. They are readily accessible by using new and old forest access roads that cut through the center of the property as well as many paths and skidder roads all of which are accessible by foot or ATV. The area is hilly and is welled drained with small barren areas and open bogs alternating with patches of forest, and a few small ponds. There are many outcrops and soil sampling is an effective tool. Regional geology: Situated within the Avalon Zone, the property is wholly underlain by terrestrial mafic and felsic variegated flows, pyroclastics and sedimentary rocks of the Hadrynian aged Bull Arm Formation, Musgravetown Group. Eastward is the similarly aged Connecting Point Group, predominately a marine turbidite sequence comprised of shale, siltstone and sandstone. Volcanic rocks of the Love Cove Group occur to the west. The Swift Current Granite, a Late Precambrian felsic plutonic body lies to the south. Small bodies of the Devonian Clarenville Granite occur in the area. The Come By Chance Fault, a significant regional structure, cuts the Bull Arm Formation along a northwest-southeast trend in the property area. A north-south trending fault, possibly emanating from the Swift Current Granite may also intersect the Come By Chance Fault in the vicinity of the target (King, 1988). Present Work My samples are denoted on the attached reference Maps and the UTM co-ordinates and description are located in Appendix A and the assay results are in Appendix C while expenses and personnel are in Appendix B. of the samples are included on the attached assay result sheets.
