Case Study
The Blue Diamond Steel Company has decided to shift the Finance department from the Hyderabad branch to the primary branch in Gujarat. Suddenly, the LAN connected to the finance department was not processing any requests. This lead to delay in sending the payroll details to HR department in Hyderabad and Gujarat.

After troubleshooting the router connected to the LAN of finance department, the network
administrator identified that the router gets heated up this is stopping the transfer of information
between the networks

Repeater is a device that increases the strength of the data signals sent across the network

Bridges are devices that divide the network into different segments thereby, enabling you to reduce traffic on the network
It decides the network segment where the data has to travel in order to reach its destination
