• PEERaimstoenhancelocal,nationalandregionaldisasterpreparedness,tobuildtheresponse capacities of vulnerable countries in Asia.

• PEERworkstoinstitutionalizesustainabledisasterpreparednesstrainingprogramsandemergency response systems.

• PEERisinthe3rdimplementationphase,whichrunsfrom2009-2014,withsupplementalsupportfromAmericanRedCross(ARC).

• PEERcomponentsincludeHospitalPreparednessforEmergencies(HOPE)andCommunityActionforDisasterResponse(CADRE).

• TheAsianDisasterPreparednessCenter(ADPC)isleadingtheimplementationofHOPEandCADRE,inpartnershipwiththeNationalDisasterManagementOrganizationsintencountriesinAsia,withsupportfromRedCrossNationalSocieties,EmergencyMedicalServices,MinistriesandNGOs.
