What kind of railing do I want?
The first question is what kind of railing are you looking for? Typically you are looking at wooden structures or metal/aluminum structures. This is the first question you must answer before calling. The types of hardware differ depending on the answer.
This is a great example of an aluminum post installation. The deck is bamboo wood and the railing is aluminum post. The posts were drilled to match the hardware for metal structures. After the posts were set, the customer chose the top railing. Once the top railing is fastened and secured, the cables can then be installed.
Note: Until the top cap is installed, the cables cannot be tensioned. The structure must have both top and bottom fixed.
We used the Invisiware receivers from Ultra-Tec and posts by G&F Southeast Distributors, Inc. This project is located in downtown Atlanta, GA.

This footbridge was built by Nature Bridges
located in Monticello, Florida. It is common to
find 1/8 to 1/4 in cable used in commercial
applications. This particular project used 1/8in
cable. Each of the posts were hand drilled using
a guide and the cable was threaded. The runs
between tensioners usually do not go beyond 50
feet.
This installation took place in Alys Beach, Florida. The footbridge winds through the vegetation. 1/8in steel cable with Adjust-a-Body hardware.

Providing a contemporary look
Invisiware receivers are primarily used for metal or aluminum structures. The majority of
the hardware resides in the post (thus the name) and allows for tensioning. Each tensioning
end requires a receiver and a threaded stud that is swaged onto the end of the steel cable.
