APMC (Advanced Production Multi Control)
combines an efficient packaging process
with maximum increased patient safety. This
Windows application allows the entire production
process to be managed, operated and monitored.
HD Medi’s unique software package offers extensive
functionality for processing patient and medication
data from an OCS file (a file containing the prescription
details which is generated by the pharmacy or hospital
system) as well as comprehensive user and medication
management.
From a single central database it is possible to control a
maximum of 12 packaging machines. APMC is also able
to control the other optional devices such as the VIZEN
(sachet inspection system), the WIZER (winding and
separation per patient) and the STS LS (for packing
special medication, or parts of tablets).
A standard interface for your country is used
for the link to your Pharmacy Information
System.

Administering drugs and patients information, organising orders
• Workflow control for the total order process in one program. • Administering drug data using a unique selectable number
registration. • Scanning and processing patient and prescription data into a
file.• Administering and generating various print formats for the
sachets via a user-friendly interface. • User logging of password-protected operations. • Setting your own security levels.• Tracking and tracing of all user operations. • APMC can advise which packaging machine should be used
for most efficient operation. • Extensive error logging. • Optimum planning via the STS Load Station for prescriptions
containing special tablets.
• Management of all systems.• Detailed reports.• 1 database for all data.• The use of load balancing for completing jobs. For optimum
efficiency, load balancing, based on the available cassettes and the workload of the machines is used.
• The APMC main screen displays the current status for each ATDPS machine. Any problems that interfere with dispensing are displayed immediately together with a clear description.
• Multithreaded windows application. As a result of this the system can always be accessed, even during production.
• Controlled refilling of empty cassettes.• Access to APMC from external systems using the APMC web
service.
Integration of a personal radio frequency codeA plastic chip (tag) with unique radio frequency identification (RFID) replaces user name and password login. By holding the chip against the reader (each device has its own reader) access is gained to the system (provided that the user has sufficient rights for performing the relevant operation), after which everything is logged for each user.
APMC DatabaseIn addition to the APMC Workstation, two additional workstations are also supplied:
• Desktop for the controlled filling of cassettes A very important part of the APMC software is the Cassette Refill Station (CRS). The Cassette Refill Station is a separate workstation for the controlled filling of cassettes. The necessary administration for all relevant pharmaceutical information, such as expire date, charge number, number of units dispensed, etc. is also recorded. APMC automatically counts the number of units in the cassette by performing the filling on a scale, which can optionally be ordered.
• Desktop for Special Tablet System (STS) Offline The STS Load Station is a part of the software that uses data from the database to manage, validate and register the manual addition of drugs that cannot be dispensed using a cassette. This significantly reduces the risk of human error. The offline version is supplied as standard with APMC. It generates a graphic overview on the associated monitor. The image of the virtual tray shows how the 60-cell tray needs to be filled.
Efficient handling of STS jobs by using “Ready to go” functionality:APMC ensures that a start is made on dispensing the cassette jobs. As soon as an STS Assistant Tray is filled, APMC ensures that this job is dispensed after the current “patient”, after which the cassette job continues.
