The Aperture is how much light is being allowed through the lens.You can control the aperture manually in either ‘MANUAL’ mode, or in ‘APERTURE PRIORITY’ mode. Aperture Priority mode

allows you to control the aperture yourself, and the camera will, if possible, set the correct shutter speed to expose your picture correctly.

Shutter Speed

The Shutter Speed is the amount of time that the shutterremains open, allowing the light to hit the sensor.

The shutter can be left open for as long as you need, as long as you don’t overexpose your image.
