Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Uttarakhand Medical Education University (HNBUMU) Was established by an Act enacted by the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly, an institution for the advancement and development of medical education in the state. It aims not only to guide the medical, dental, nursing and para-medical education in the state by afliating all such institutions with it but also itself carry high level and specialized teaching and research. It shall also have a medical college of its own within its campus to serve as a model for other colleges within the state. It shall cooperate and collaborate with best similar institutions within the country and abroad so that the best medical education can be provided within the state of Uttarakhand.

Dr. R.D. Mishra, Director, Greater Noida Productivity Council (Ex- Director & Head, National Productivity Council) having 37 years of professional experience in HR Consultancy, Training & Teaching. Dr. Mishra has earned his Ph.D. in Mgmt from B.H.U (1993) besides having M.B.A and M.Sc. (Math). Dr. Mishra has conducted more than 650 modules of training programme for Senior, Middle and junior levels of personnel in more than Sixty Public and Private sector organisations and has trained more than 60000 Executives & 1600 Doctors through various hospital administration programmes.
Dr Hem Chandra Pandey Vice Chancellor of Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna (HNB) Uttarakhand Medical Education University is a renowned specialist in Hospital Administration. Prof. Hem Chandra served as the Head of Department, Hospital Administration & Medical Superintendent, Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGI), Lucknow. A professionally sound gure, he acquired his MBBS from KGMC Lucknow. Thereafter, he completed his Masters in Hospital Administration (MD) from AIIMS New Delhi and PhD, and Dlitt . For his outstanding contribution in the medical eld, he was conferred with the UP Ratan award, Award for excellence and has held numerous important posts in the eld of Hospital Administration

GNPC is a non- prot making organization is afliated to National Productivity Council, New Delhi. The constitution of Greater Noida Productivity Council comprises of a tripartite agreement amongst employers, employees and government representatives. The council is devoted to enhance Productivity in Industrial, service Sector organizations as well on health care organization. IntroductionThe increasing number of medico legal cases has made it necessary for hospitals and medical administrators to become aware of the medico legal aspects to minimise civil and criminal litigation and ensure quality of medical care. In India, lawyers as yet have very little training and exposure in the complex issues involved in medical care. Therefore, health care personnel must understand the basic medico legal issues involved in personal injury, negligence, malpractice, medical frauds, professional incompetency, and ethical issues in human experimentation, defensive medicine, organ transplants, reproduction medicine, sex determination and genetic counselling.
