Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, 40 days before Easter (excluding Sundays). This season focuses on the life and ministry of Jesus, especially His last days in
Jerusalem. Lent reminds us of Jesus’ 40 days of testing in the desert. As followers of Christ we recall not only that Jesus withstood the fiery darts of the
devil, but we also are called to resist evil in whatever forms it may take. Lent is generally a time for all Christians to strengthen their faith, with emphasis
on prayer, fasting and mercy. Purple, symbolizing penitence and preparation, colours this season.

04. SUPPORT FOR THOSE UNDER LOA/SHN/HQO
For the COVID-19 situation, the government has introduced measures to reduce the risk of community spread of the virus within Singapore. This includes Leave of Absence, Stay-Home Notice and Home Quarantine Order (LOA/SHN/HQO), where individuals will have to remain in their place of residence at all times during the 14-day period.
We understand that our Church members may be affected by these said measures, and we want to provide you with the necessary support.
If you or you know of any Church member who are affected by the LOA/SHN/HQO, please contact Mr Louis Loke at shencheh@gmail.com or 98296160, and we will follow-up with you as soon as possible. Thanks.
05. Bringing to you the AMKMC LIVE STREAM SERVICE HELPDESK!
With the recent stricter safe distancing measures, live stream services will be a major part of our church life for this season. The church understands that there will be members in the congregation who want to join our live stream services but currently unable to do so for various reasons like lack of IT setup in their homes or lack of relevant know-how.
We want to help you connect to our live stream services on Sundays! If you or you know of any church members who require any assistance (hardware, software or knowledge-ware!) to connect to our live stream services on Sundays, pls do not hesitate to email admin@amkmc.org.sg, and we will follow up accordingly.
Let us stay connected as a Church in this season!
06. JOIN A CELL GROUP
We desire to see everyone anchored in cell groups, to effectively care and provide
discipleship to all worshippers in the church. In light of the COVID-19 situation, while
we can't meet for service for the time being, this has empowered us to take greater
ownership of our faith. To watch over one another in love via the Cell Groups.
If you would like to join a cell group, please contact:
PTM Selina at Selinagunawan@amkmc.org.sg,
PTM Joshua Kwok at joshuakwok@amkmc.org.sg or
PTM Mei Ming at chanmeiming@amkmc.org.sg
