For The Kids that is a funny black small thing that has a hole in it & turns around

Got a 1/2 Day Off School !!!

I Grew Up In The 1970’s

Long Hair Blue Jeans Bell Bottoms Mexican Jackets…..Analogue rules !!!

1973 - Bought My 1st LP with own cash

Turns Out It Is A Classic As Well

Worked in Banking as a Search Clerk getting copies of land titles

• Regulation Mullet Hairstyle &/Or New Romantic (Duran Duran)

• Skinny Ties & Bright Colours (My Personal Fave - Marone)

• Type 2 finger style on a type writer with carbon paper

• Using analogue adding machines for calculations

• Process all transactions using a ledger machine

• Deliver cheques each day to Head Office for dispatch

• Used to smoke in my tellers box

• Banks open from 10.00 am to 3.00 pm

CMI Fairlight Computer - the move towards digital

• Music then moved forward with CMI in 1980

• Each machine was hand built with expensive components that cost $40,000

• Company Went Broke in Mid 1980’s

1983 - Appointed to the Account Information Data

System Team

• Or AIDS for short

• Went around the countryside converting manual branch accounts to computer based files

Bought a Sony Walkman

who didn’t have one of these

Bought a Compact Disc Player

Indestructible - or so we were told

Colours & Hairstyles still haven’t changed……. just yet
