ERAS 2012 Recap – (SOAP) Debut - Supplemental Offer &

Acceptance Program • Replaced the Managed Scramble. • Ran Monday through Friday. • Statistics will be available in April.

– Web site upgrades • https://www.aamc.org/services/eras/program_staff/ • Updates for 2013 are ongoing and will be complete by

early May.

ERAS Activities On the Horizon

• Is your Program registered for ERAS

2013? Login to ERAS Account Maintenance to register your program • https://services.aamc.org/eras/erasaccount/ • Registration closes April 6th .

• Archive Your ERAS Data • ERAS does not maintain data from season to season. Once

the ERAS PostOffice closes, you will no longer has access to your ERAS Data. The ERAS PostOffice closes May 31st.

ERAS 2013 – What’s New

• Residency Application Cycle timeline shift for ACGME accredited programs.

• ERAS opens to programs on September 15th (previously September 1st).

• MSPEs will be released to ACGME programs on October 1st (instead of November 1st).

– Fellowship Subspecialties Cycle Change • Move to 12 month July recruitment cycle

– Allergy & Immunology Subspecialties – Pediatric Nephrology

What’s New (Software Changes)

• Language Fluency: Applicants will be able

to self-report languages spoken and proficiency level.

• Race/Ethnicity: Terminology has been changed to “self identification”.

• Self-reported “Examinations” and “ECFMG Certification” have been removed.

• Software requirements have been completed.

– PDWS is first of ERAS applications to be reengineered.

– Construction (In Process) – Development team is

currently constructing several modules including Filters, Interview Scheduler and Reports.

– Pilot will not take place during ERAS 2013.

– Beta testing is being planned and volunteers are needed to help us test!
