during classes Wednesday evening. 5th & 6th graders should be checked in, but do not have to wear

DENNIS LEE IS COMING!
Make plans to join us Wednesday evening, April 19th for ventriloquist, Dennis Lee. His show, “Lite
as a Feather” will be sure to entertain and uplift kids of all ages!
LTC NEWS
LTC families, please sign up with Becky Peurifoy this morning to bring a food donation for the
LTC convention...with everyone’s contributions, snack, dinner & lunch while at the Anatole will
be taken care of!
LTC DRESS REHEARSAL is for all participants, parents and church family to come support our
kids on their final practice before the convention. Please join us in the Chapel Wednesday, April
12 from 6:30-7:30 pm.

New Sermon Series Starts Next Week: Galatians
PRAYER REQUESTS:
DWAIN SUMPTER was admitted to ETMC with intestinal issues. Prayers are requested for comfort and
healing.
STEVE CALDWELL was taken to the ER Wednesday with a rapid heart rate and low blood pressure.
Doctors were able to stabilize his heart rate and he went home on Thursday.
BETTY VANDERLINDEN spent last weekend in the hospital with heart problems. She is home resting
now.
GLENDA HUNTER has finished rehab following surgery and a long stay in Mother Francis but is now
facing possible foot surgery. Prayers are requested for strength and perseverance as she faces another
surgery and rehab. Terrel appreciates prayers and visits, please call before visiting.
CHARLOTTE ESCH had successful cataract surgery recently and will have the other eye done in a few
weeks. Also, Don was diagnosed with inner ear problems and doctors found no heart related problems
that caused a recent ER visit.
JACK RAE continues to battle cancer. He received treatment last week that has him struggling to feel
well. Prayers are requested for stamina and comfort during this time.
GAIL ROUNTREE, mother of Brittany Simmons, will have carpal tunnel surgery soon on one hand and
the other later.
MELISSA ROTH, a regular Alpine guest, asks for prayers for her stepfather who has an enlarged area-
on his neck and throat.
MARTHA STUTLER, grandmother of Alpine guest Ashley Gibbons, is in Longview Regional, room 242
with multiple health issues.
PAT WHEAT, 69-yr-old aunt of Stephen Newsom, who recently suffered a stroke, remains in ICU at
Longview Regional for now but is doing some better. Cassidy & Stephen are very appreciative of our
prayers.
MIKE NEILSEN, co-worker of Don Esch, was recently diagnosed with pre-leukemia. Don asks that we
keep him and his family in our prayers.

ALPINE EGG HUNT 2017
ALPINE’S EGG HUNT: TODAY at 5 pm on the
FLC Playground. Each participant in the Egg
Hunt is asked to bring 1 dozen candy filled eggs
(peanut free). Bring a picnic dinner for your
family and enjoy fellowship on the FLC Patio!
SHEENA LEMON will be honored with a baby
shower on April 23rd from 2 - 3:30 pm in AC-
CESS 118. Sheena and her husband, Jeffrey, will
be welcoming a baby girl! You can find her reg-
istry at Target. Gift cards are greatly appreciated.

SHEPHERDING SURVEY In an effort to shepherd the entire Alpine family
and insure that every household has at least one
elder to contact in time of need, the pastoral team
of elders requests that every Alpine household
select 5 preferred elders listed on the Shepherd-
ing survey. Shepherding surveys have been sent
via email and paper copies will be distributed
today and April 16th. Surveys are to be complet-
ed and/or returned by Monday, April 17.

MEETING ON
DEPRESSION There will be a monthly meeting today
@ 2pm in the FLC Chapel for those
interested in the topic of depression.
MISSIONS MEETING There will be a Missions meeting today
@ 4 pm in WC-5. This meeting is open
to anyone interested in missions and the
work that is being done around the
world.
On Wednesdays, April 26, May 3, May 10 & May 24, our 1st-
6th graders will be paired with an adult mentor as we strive to “Become
a Girl/Guy after God’s Own Heart.” Therefore, we are in need of about
40 adult men and women of all ages to attend these classes in the Chapel
and help guide the students through this Bible Study. No preparation is
needed…just a willing and available spirit. Please sign up with Holly
Tallon, Luke Tallon, or Melissa Kitchens if you can assist!
AYM SUMMER MISSIONS Please stop by the youth group's table in the foyer to talk to them about their Summer
Mission Trips (McAllen, SoulQuest, Camp of the Hills). They need Prayer Warriors,
service hours, and other support. May God bless you as you prayerfully consider
how you can help.
GARRETT & DANI MEHRENS, regular guests,
were baptized together by Marshall Coffey on
April 5th. Garrett is the son of Mickey & Bret-
ta Mehrens. Garrett and Dani currently attend
the Faith 101 Bible class on Sunday mornings.
