“Subject” = a unit of study, usually one semester in length. Managed by a Subject Coordinator.

“Course” = degree program; contains students enrolled whole of qualification cohort. Managed by a Course Director usually with administrative support.

Approximately 30 Course Directors managing ~150 courses, currently in a variety of ways.
