Introduction 1 Do you want to know all about biomes. Of course you do. A biome is a part of land,with a climate.

Tundra 2 The tundra is very cold and very windy. It can get to -18 degrees but that's not the coldest. Under the ground there is permafrost. Plantlike living things called lichens grow there. Some animals are reindeer,Arctic fox,snowy owl,musk oxen,and polerbear. It's dry there and barren.

Taiga 3 The taiga is in northern Asia. There is lots of evergreens. Lots of oxygen. Some animals there are Polerbears,lynx,moose,crossbills,wolverine,chipmunk,wood pecker, and capercalie. The lowest the taiga gets is -60 degrees.

Gobi desert -4 Gobi desert is in Central Asia. Some animals there are elephant and camel. Deserts take up 1 third of the earth. 50 mile pour hour winds come there. Rain usually falls in summer. Covers part of Mongolia China. Gobi means waterless place.

Himalaya mountains 5 The highest mountain is over 29,000 feet. Some of the animals are chipmunks,yacks, and monkeys. Some plants have hair. Thistle is a plant and rhubarb is too. There are rain forests. You can see the himalaya mountains from space. Covers 1 tenth of earth.
