The Telephone was invented on March 10th, 1876, in Boston Massachusetts by

Alexander Graham Bell.

When you talk into a telephone, the microphone inside of the mouthpiece transforms the sound

waves into electric impulses.

These sound waves are sent through the cable to the ear piece of the other

persons receiver which they are listening. This turns the impulses into sounds which

are nearly identical to the sound made by the caller, so from the impulses sent it

sounds like they are standing right next to you.

The telephone led to cell phones.

The word telephone means “ far speaking” in Greek.

The telephone also mad communication easier.
