SummaryThe Basic Problem That We Studied
What we have studied.
Assumptions and StudiesAssuming the market share related to several factors:
GDP,Traffic growth rate,Oil price,Specifications of aircraft. . .using order numbers of different aircrafts to present marketshare
Seperating the world into 7 parts:Asia-Pacific,North America,Europe,Middle East,LatinAmerica,CIS,Africa.
Checking and studying of datas:Getting relavant documents.Analysing.

The table shows that the most related variable is the traffic. And the specifications of aircrafts acctualy have fewinfluences for market share.

Estimated Results for Share-Traffic
We work precisly on the relation between market share and thetraffic growth rate and find the results below:
In which we can find a interesting result that market sharedecreases when traffic growth increases.

Local or not
We also find out that the market share is stronly effected by thelocation of buyers and manifacturers,if the aircraft is boughtlocally, we give the value of variable as 1,if not, it will be 0.Andwe can gain this result only when we set North America apart.

Explanations
1.The negetive impact to the aircraft order of the traffic growthrate is maily because that we always have greater growth ratein areas which are relativly less developed. And in fact thegreatest needs are still in developped areas, so the aircraftorders will be larger.2.Aircraft specifications do not show strongly the linearregression relationship, which verifies that they can servicedifferent flight missions.3.Local buyers prefer local aircrafts. As the manifacturation ofaircrafts is quite a big industry,we believe that this phenomenonwill benifit local aeronautic industry development.

Summary
Higher traffic growth rate may represent fewer aircraftorders.Local buyers prefer local aircrafts.
OutlookWe havn’t figured out why the lineare equation forshare-local does not work well for North America.
