Our Mission The mission of Tuscarawas Central Catholic Junior Senior High School is to challenge our
students academically, socially, and spiritually to be productive, nurturing Christian citizens in
a diverse, global society.
We Are TCC Tuscarawas Central Catholic High School was born September 8, 1970, when students from former rivals
Dennison St. Mary and Dover St. Joseph met in the classroom for the first time under the Central Catholic
banner. Since that beginning, the school has shared the Gospel with the young people of our community,
produced national merit scholars, and fielded championship athletic teams.
During the past 50 years, about 2,500 students have met the challenge of the curriculum, learned the value of
community service, and nourished their faith. Today, about 160 students and a skilled and dedicated faculty
continue the Central Catholic tradition in a building that has undergone extensive renovations and
improvements.
As a faith-based school, we provide a diverse community in the Catholic tradition, fostering spiritual growth,
moral responsibility, academic excellence, and artistic and athletic pursuits. Our students leave well-equipped for
college, the armed services, and the work force.
As a Catholic School, we encourage the spiritual and moral growth of our students through daily Religion classes,
weekly school Masses, the Sacraments, class retreats, numerous service projects and daily prayer. We are blessed
to have Fr. Jeff Coning of Sacred Heart Parish in New Philadelphia teach sophomore and junior religion classes,
and Fr. Jimmy Hatfield of St. Joseph Parish in Dover teach Latin.
Tuscarawas Central Catholic High School is owned by the Diocese of Columbus and abides by the policies of the
Diocesan Department of Education. The school is accredited by the Ohio Catholic Schools Accrediting Association.
Central Catholic is open to all area students, regardless of faith or economic status. Tuition assistance programs
and scholarships are available.

“Christ is the reason for this school, the
unseen but ever-present teacher in its
classes, the model of its faculty, the
inspiration of its students.”
TCC offers a comprehensive program of religious instruction,
intimately woven into the general curriculum. We welcome all
students who sincerely seek the school’s religious environment and educational program. The
school is defined by its religious character; thus, all students participate in the religious life of the
school to the extent permitted by church law. The religious life of the school includes daily
religion classes, prayer, liturgy and service; and encompass a myriad of Catholic traditions, rituals
and celebrations.
