ABSTRACT

Accomplishments

Past

Accomplishment

For example:

I have lived in Pachuca for 5 years.

This accomplishment

started in the past (the year 2010)

Continues at the present (because I

never mentioned that now I’m living in a different place.)

Can be prolonged through the future

(until I move to another city or die!)

To express accomplishments we need:

The verb Have / Has which in Spanish is “Haber”, so the conjugation is as follows:

I have – yo he We have – nosotros hemosYou have – tú has You have – ustedes hanHe has – él ha They have – ellos hanShe has – ella haIt has – esto ha

We also need:

Verbs in past participle which in Spanish their endings are:

• ADO cantado sung• IDO comido eaten• TO visto seen• SO impreso printed• CHO dicho said

Three forms to express accomplishments

Affirmative: Subject + Have / Has + Verb in Past Participle + Complement.

We haven’t studied at UAEH for four years.

Interrogative: Have / Has + Subject + Verb in Past Participle + Complement.
