Synopsis
Abstract
The aim of our work is to find the vehicle accident location by means of sending a
message using a system which is placed inside of vehicle system. The main purpose is to providesecurity to the vehicle in very reasonable cost. So in this work we are using the basic
microcontroller AT89C5 for cost effective and also for easy understanding. !ere we used C
programming for better accuracy and "#S and "S$ modules which helps to trace the vehicle
anywhere on the globe. The e%act location of the vehicle is sent to our remote devices &mobile
phones via sms with longitude and latitude' using "S$ modem.
Introduction
(oad accidents constitute the ma)or part of the accident deaths all over the world.
According to the *nsurance *nstitute for !ighway Safety &**!S'+ new cars and its high,tech safety
features have helped to lessen auto related deaths over the past - years. Though it creditstechnology for lessening auto accidents+ yet the **!S cannot help accusing bad driving behaviors
like drunken driving+ speeding and not using seatbelts for still causing ma)or traffic deaths.
Automatic vehicle accident detection and messaging system is an embedded intelligence
implanted into the auto,mobile.
The purpose of the pro)ect is to find the vehicle where it is and locate the vehicle by
means of sending a message using a system which is placed inside of vehicle system $ost of the
times we may not be able to find accident location because we dont know where accident will
happen. *n order to give treatment for in)ured people+ first we need to know where the accident
happened through location tracking and sending a message to your related one or to the
emergency services. So in this work we are using the basic microcontroller AT89C5 for costeffective and also for easy understanding. !ere we used assembly programming for better
accuracy and "#S and "S$ modules which helps to trace the vehicle anywhere on the globe.
The e%act location of the vehicle is sent.
Working Principle
/ur pro)ect describes about the A0T/$AT*C 12!*C32 ACC*,42T 42T2CT*/
A4 $2SSA"*" S6ST2$ using "#S and "S$ technologies. 7e are using AT89C5
microcontroller in our pro)ect. 7hen the system is switched on+ 324 will be / indicating that
power is supplied to the circuit. *n our pro)ect we are using accelerometer which is a a%is
device which senses the angle of vehicle which is tilted and based on the vehicle position themicrocontroller takes the decision and sends and S$S via "S$ along with the location. The
message will give the information of longitude and latitude values. 0sing these values the
position of the vehicle can be estimated and an emergency backup can be sent to the location and
first aid treatment can be given.
