A road is not just a way of getting from one point to another. Roads capture

our imaginations through literary, musical, and artistic references. They

signify a quest or adventure, a means to an end, a symbol of progress, growth

and possibility and hope. They call us to new beginnings. They offer us grace.

How does the image of a road speak to your journey of faith? Where is this

year’s Lenten journey leading you?

Jeremiah 29:11-13

For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for your

welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope. Then when you call

upon me and come and pray to me, I will hear you. When you search for me,

you will find me; if you seek me with all your heart.

Prayer

God of grace and mercy, Source of all gifts who changes us as we cannot

change ourselves, we ask for patience, we ask for understanding, we ask for

compassion, we ask for hope and gratitude so that we may welcome our

collective and individual journeys with open hearts, open minds, and open
