A FEW WORDS AS A DEDICATION TO OUR BELOVED MOTHER.
BIBI KHALA “THE MOTHER” OF JAAMIA ZAINAB
From : Her Children
The beat of our hearts… the light of our eyes❤ Bibi KhalaSome people are placed in our lives at just the
right times. They enter our lives like a cool
breeze on a hot summer's day and forever
leave a footprint on our hearts . Bibi Khala
Hanslot is one such person who walked into our lives eleven years ago. We
had just started our Tarbiyat Class in Emmasdale in our house . Bibi Khala
requested that we should start Tarbiyat Classes at her residence in Makeni
too. Taking her request as an opportunity to do the work of Deen, we
started weekly Bayans and Tarbiyat Classes at her house. This was the
beginning of our lifelong friendship and love story with Bibi khala. As a widow, Bibi Khala could have lived her life for any number of
purposes. Alternatively, she could have given up and lived without a
purpose. However, this commendable woman chose to give meaning to her
life by devoting herself to Jaamia.
You are the beat of our Hearts
Bibi Khala

Allah Tala states in the Qur'aan: ویؤثرون على أنفسھم ولو كان بھم خصاصة (and give them preference over themselves
even though they were in need of that.)
meaning, they preferred giving to the needy rather than attending to their
own needs, and began by giving the people before their own selves, even
though they too were in need.
Bibi Khala took care of each and every need of
the Jaamia from keeping it immaculately
clean to organizing the sports uniforms of the
girls to managing the auxiliary staff. Allah tala has
given Bibi khala the amazing ability to see beyond her personal
concerns and empathizing with others. She has a heart of gold that is
always ready to give others.Allah Tala says in the Qur’aan:
بھ علیم ا تحبون وما تنفقوا من شيء فإن الله لن تنالوا البر حتى تنفقوا مم LAN TANALUL BIRRA HATTA TUNFIQU MIMMA TUHIBBUN…
(By no means shall you attain Al-Birr, unless you spend of that which
you love; and whatever of good you spend, Allah knows it well.)

Al-Birr is Spending from the Best of One's
Wealth.
That is exactly what Bibi Khala did.
The prophet of Allah sallal lahu alaihi
wasallam said:
اليد العلي خير من اليد السفلي
.ALYADUL ULYA KHAIRUN MINAL YADISSUFLAA
The upper hand is better than the lower hand.
(The upper hand means that the hand that gives is better than the hand
that takes.)
It is this quality that makes her selfless and
exemplary.
She embraced service and selflessness and in
return found each day worth living for. Not only
that but her sincerity and dedication to Jaamia made
us look forward to each day with positivity too.
Countless memories flash back in the mind when I write about Bibi Khala.
Any occasion of Jaamia, whether it be a Youth Program or Seerah Ijlaas,
would be incomplete without the careful coordination of Bibi Khala.

I still remember the day... many years
ago at our Annual Ijlaas Bibi Khala
took my hand in hers and carefully
exchanged my tasbeeh counter with
hers. She then whispered into my ear, " Apa, that orange colour doesn't suit
you!"
Coming to a clean Jaamia every
morning and being greeted by a fresh smelling immaculate office had
became a routine in our lives. Enjoying chicken nugget bhajias every
Thursday was something we looked forward to. A smiling Bibi Khala
knocking and entering the office was the highlight of our day.

Bibi Khala won the hearts of all the students and teachers in Jaamia.
By nature , we are uniquely drawn to those who selflessly give of
themselves. Besides ,those who love and
give generously find a type of inner peace and
fulfillment that extends beyond any
position, status, or structure. They make a
pathway that reaches into the hearts
and souls of people. Their example is studied.
Their counsel is sought. Their stories are told over and
over again as inspirations . And their happiness is truly lasting.
We pray that Allah grant complete recovery to our super mum , our “Bibi
Khala” and bring her back to her home , the “Jaamia”. Ameen
