Since the dawn of time, humans have been seekingthe face of God. Our times are no dif ferent. We live in a
world in which we find the coexistence of secularismand atheism, and religious institutions with ancient rootsexisting alongside new religious movements thatformulate their own new synthesis in order to giveexpression to the reality of God. Within this pluralism, which points toward the never-ending search inthe human heart, a need emerges for a deepeningof the Christian conception of God.
A Face for Godis a spiritual and theological reflectionon contemporary beliefs about God. After addressingthe philosophical background of todays prevailingpost-modern attitudes and rapidly changing culturalexpressions, the author questions whether it is stillpossible to offer a profile and face for God, one withconsistency and personality, amid the ambiguous
religious feelings of our times. The author offers useful suggestions for enriching thesearch for, and the experience of, God in our lives bydrawing a profile and face of God through the Trinitarianunderstanding of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
