WHAT IS LANGUAGE??Jack et al. (1985) London Dictionary for Applied Linguistic:Language is the system of human communication by means of a structured arrangement of sounds to form large units e. g. Morphemes, Words, Sentences.

Hadumod Bussmann (1996) in Routledge Dictionary of Language and Linguistics:Language is a vehicle for the expression or exchange of Thoughts, Concepts, Knowledge, and Information as well as the Fixing and Transmission of experience and knowledge. It is based on cognitive processes, subject to societal factors and subject to historical change and development.

LANGUAGE FAMILYThe linguistics apply some methods to classify the languages of worlds in some families. One of the easiest method is Geographical Classification. Other methods are Genealogical Classification and Morphological Classification.

However, analysising some methods the languages of world can be divided into following groups ------- Indo- European Semitic-Hamitic Dravidian Bantu Turk-Mongol-Manchu Caucasian Austric Tibeto-Chinese or Sino-O-Tibetan Papuan Hyperborean or Paloea-AsiaticEsquimo American Language Family

Needs Of This Study In Class Room To Create awareness in students’ mind that there is a History, Origin, and Evaluation of Language. To create awareness that Language of students is their and country’s recourses. To make respect to Language Family. To understand the differences between Home Language and School Language. The student is aware of his own words, he means to facilitate knowledge. The students is to be known that they can easily translate his knowledge learned in his own language in to other language. History of any country can be survived through the Language. To make this concept in students’ mind from childhood. To make sense in student’s mind that he should respect his /her Mother Tongue as well as his/her classmate’s Mother Tongue .
