Effective September 1, 2009, a new Texas law

H.B. No. 2003 makes it a crime

to bully another student on or off campus.

The school has the right to remove the bully and place him/her at another campus of the school’s choosing.

Depending on the activities involved… bullying another individual can be either a Class A Misdemeanor or a 3rd degree felony.
