Recently, I was interested in Holocaust education and learned that Oskar Schindler,(the film "Schindler's List" is about him) was buried in Jerusalem.I decided to find his grave. On the Internet I found the place and went there. He was buried in the Catholic cemetery near the walls of the Old City.I offer you a small photo report.1.I immediately found a cemetery

1. He is buried at Jerusalem Catholic cemetery near the walls of the Old City

2. Plaque that Schindler's grave is here.

3. Not a single person at the cemetery, but beautiful and scenic views.

4. Quiet, calm, grace.

5. Looking around, went to look for the grave.

Catholic cemetery, many Arabs Catholics, many family graves.

Also many Poles buried.

Many plates. Attract those with photos. Immediately imagine human life and look at his grave. Strange feelings for.

An interesting plate.

Wall with urns containing the ashes.

The wall.

I walked the entire cemetery and did not find the grave. In the description has been written that on the grave are many stones.

I climbed higher and began to look for the grave on which there lie many stones.

It turned out the usual grave located near the pass. The only difference from other that it did apply a lot of stones, which are periodically removed from the tomb.To lay down the stones on the grave - the Jewish custom. Before leaving the tomb it's accepted to put on a stone (or a handful of earth) taken near the graves. In this case, pronounced: "י עפר אנחנו Put a stone .("Remember that we are dust») "זכור כ/on the grave, not only at the funeral, but each time you visit the cemetery. Here is such a grave of a famous person, a righteous man of the world, who saved 1,200 Jews.
