Do you have a new promotion you’d like to share or a change in your hours of operation? Is there something you want other chamber members to know about your business? Do you have a new employee you’d like to highlight or a new service you are offering? We can help! E-blasts are a great way to get your message out to other chamber members. Here are a few new policies the Board of Directors has implemented to help you make the most of your E-blasts.
All E-blasts will be subject to Chamber approval. Each member business will receive 2 free e-blasts per year and pay $35.00 for each additional E-blast. Chamber functions will remain at no charge, i.e. Business After - Hours, Monthly Luncheons, etc. E-blasts must be paid in full prior to being sent.
How Can E-blasts Help Your Business?
As we have been reporting throughout the past year, our Board of Directors voted to change
the collection of membership dues to run concurrent with the Chamber Fiscal Year of
January 1st thru December 31st. For all our current members this means that January 1, 2013
is the due date for the renewal of your membership dues. New members throughout the year
will follow a pro-rated schedule for membership dues.
The Hillside-Berkeley Chamber of Commerce offers many networking opportunities and ways
to promote your business. We look forward to serving you throughout the upcoming year
and invite you to get involved and make a difference in your community.
The Chamber Board meets the second Wednesday of every month at 7:30 am at the
Chamber Office located at 4850 Butterfield Rd., Hillside.
All members are welcome.
Thank you for your continued support and we look forward to serving you in 2013!

Business After-Hours
Business After Hours are monthly networking programs sponsored by and hosted at Chamber member businesses. We are often told by our members that providing them with real networking
opportunities is perhaps the most valuable membership benefit the Chamber can provide.
Business After-Hours provide an excellent opportunity to get your company name, products and services known to the business community.
Make yourself and your company known!

PROMOTE • COMMIT • INSPIRE
For the past 11 years, the Village of Hillside has held a breakfast in honor of the
late Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. celebrating the diversity of our community.
If you attended this event in the past, you know how successful this breakfast is and
how quickly the reservation availability is filled. If you have never attended, please consider
purchasing a ticket as this is one event you do not want to miss.
The Human Relations Commission is in their final planning process for the
12th Annual Dr. King Breakfast which will be held on Monday, January 21st
starting at 9:00AM to approximately 11:30AM. Once again it will be held in the
Churchill Room at the Best-Western Chicago Hillside Hotel, 4400 Frontage Road in Hillside.
The cost is only $12.00 per person and includes a buffet breakfast, entertainment, special guests
and of course, a tribute to the man who has made, and continues to make, a difference in
our lives no matter your race, creed or nationality…Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
This year our Keynote Speaker is Dr. Lynette L. Danley. Her biography is truly impressive
and in addition to being an Educator Consultant, she works with many groups and is an
advocate for persons affected by Autism and other developmental differences, as well as,
“Teen-Train”, a leadership and character development program for our urban youth.
Make your reservations today!
Reservations for the breakfast are necessary and tickets are available for
purchase only at the Village Hall, 425 Hillside Avenue, during regular
business hours. Due to the magnitude of this event, tickets need to be paid for at the time
of purchase and cannot be held at the door. Sorry, we do not accept credit cards.
Please also note, that tickets WILL NOT BE SOLD THE MORNING OF THE BREAKFAST.
Reserved tables will only be available for groups who purchase 10 tickets or more.
Ticket sales will end on Monday, January 14, 2013.
For more information, please call
(708) 449-6450 or The Mayor’s Office of Special Events at (708) 202-4343
or check the village website…www.hillside-il.org and click on “Events”.
Your continued support of the “Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Breakfast” is
important to our community and we hope you will be able to attend.
