CITY OF YOUNG HARRISPUBLIC HEARING

The City of Young Harris will hold a public hearing on the adoption of polices and procedures governing the calling and conducting of hearings on proposed zoning decisions at 6:00 p.m. on April 20, 2010 at the City Hall of Young Harris, 5187 Maple Street, Young Harris, Georgia 30582. The public is invited to comment, and copies of the proposed ordinance containing the proce-

dures are available at City Hall. Subsequent to receiving all comments on the policies and proce-dures, at the same location, the City of Young Harris will hold a second public hearing on the stan-dards governing the exercise of the zoning power. The hearing will commence immediately after the preceding hearing, at the same location. The public is invited to comment, and copies of the proposed ordinance containing the standards are available at City Hall. Subsequent to receiving all comments on the standards for the exercise of the zoning power, the City of Young Harris will hold a third public hearing on the adoption of the revised zoning ordinance and re-adoption of

the official zoning map. The hearing will commence immediately after the preceding hearing, at the same location. The public is invited to comment, and copies of the proposed zoning ordi-

nance and official zoning map are available at City Hall. Subsequent to receiving all comments on the zoning ordinance and official zoning map, the City of Young Harris will hold a fourth public hearing on the adoption of a sign ordinance. The hearing will commence immediately after the

preceding hearing, at the same location. The public is invited to comment, and copies of the pro-posed sign ordinance are available at City Hall.

The heat was on as local youths from Clay, Union, and Towns Counties competed for the Tri-County Cup at Brasstown Valley. At the end of the day Clay County took home the win-ning title, followed by Towns County who trailed behind by 20 strokes, and Union County who trailed Towns by another 20 strokes.
