President’s MessageBy Gary Casterline
Hi everyone,
We have started work on an SPE TOPCON to be held here in Clevelandat Case Western Reserve University. The overall topic will be"Continuous Compounding". The plan would be to have a half daysession on Tuesday, March 18 to cover "Fundamentals" which would dealwith extrusion and compounding basics to set the stage for the moreadvanced topics coming up the next two days. "Core Technologies forContinuous Compounding and Case Studies" would be the general topicfor Wednesday followed by "Twenty First Century Technologies forContinuous Compounding" on Thursday. The speakers and sub-topics are being generated rightnow. We are also planning on having our monthly meeting on Tuesday night with the folks attending theconference so we can network and see the exhibits on display.
We could really use some help with this program in many ways. If you are knowledgeable on this topic, then maybe you could participate as a speaker. If you do business with this section of plastic or wouldsimply like to introduce your company to the attendees, then we have room for sponsorships or justselling you display space. If you want to learn more about this topic, then we hope you come as aparticipant in the learning process. There will be more information to come in the next months as we getready for this event. Please contact me if you want to be involved in one of the ways mentioned.
