Did you know deferred maintenance can complicate COVID-19 measures? Areport from the Government Accountability Office found that half of public schooldistricts surveyed the year prior needed to update or replace multiple systems intheir schools. An estimated 41 percent needed to update heating, ventilation andair conditioning systems in at least half their schools, which already had causedleaks, damage and even school closures long before the pandemic, according tothe report.
