Apr. 7 (Sun) What: Music In The Air Concert Concert to Benefit WYAR – 88.3 Where: Yarmouth High School Times: 3:00 pm
Downeasters: Just a reminder about the concert to benefit WYAR – 88.3 on which BACK BAY FOUR, EXCHANGE STREET, and PORT CITY SOUND are performing. In addition to their individual songs, they will be combining into a VLQ singing LOVE ME. They will also have opportunity to gladden the hearts of the audience before, at Intermission, and after the show. Also appearing will be the Greater Freeport Community Chorus, professional master banjoist Peter Mezoian, and the Royal River Chorus of Sweet Adelines, Int’l. A great time will be had by all. YARMOUTH HIGH SCHOOL – SUNDAY, APRIL 7 – 3:00 pm. As I described at the Chapter Meeting last week, you may order tickets from me at $10 each, with $2.50 returning to the Downeasters’ Angel Fund in appreciation of the support and participation by the quartets. Send checks to me: 417 Middle Rd. Falmouth, ME 04105. Please come out to enjoy an afternoon of “MUSIC IN THE AIR” – while supporting your quartets, the Chapter and WYAR. In harmony, win Wayne Newland Couple of things.... First off...BEST OF LUCK to the DOWNEASTERS at DIVISION CHORUS COMPETITION this weekend. Secondly, some of the guys may be interested in hearing that one of our former Downeasters, Carl Lerman, had a serious fall and will be spending the rest of this month at the CEDARS on Ocean Avenue in Portland recuperating... Carl had a fractured neck as a result of the fall... I visited him once over there and I'm sure it would do him good to get a card or a phone call or a visit from some of the Downeasters. Carl still gets a 'spark' whenever Barbershop is sung or discussed. Again, 'BEST OF LUCK' to the Downeasters in Chelmsford this weekend. Ed Headley
