Unit outcomes

• Requires GPA of 5.0 to be considered
• Complete an EOI• List at least 2 projects• Email co-ordinator (Sami)• A confirmed list of projects will
be posted in Learnline no later than Monday Week 2

CAN I DO MY OWN PROJECTS?
Own Project
• To be eligible, you must have GPA to date of 5.0 or higher.
• If you have a likely project in mind – discuss with supervisors present to ascertain viability
• Ensure you provide as much detail as possible regarding your project
• You may need to discuss/defend your project with a panel of IT lecturers for confirmation.
Own Project
If you are eligible to do your own project:
• Complete an Own Choice Project
• Submit to Co-ordinator no later than Wednesday COB. Late applications will NOT be accepted.
• Project will be assessed by IT academics to decide if the project is suitable and a supervisor allocated.

Ensure a balance is maintained between project work and the rest of the student’s studies.
Mark the assessment items, in conjunction with other School of Information Technology staff.
Meeting with supervisors
• You are expected to meet with your supervisor weekly
• By 9.00am Mondays, complete the project diary
• Project diaries are a component of your assessment for this semester
• This is required preparation for each meeting.– No diary entry = no supervisor meeting
