Now is the best time to upgrade
home heating systems.
“Money is so cheap right now,
coupled with easy financing with
12 months no payments and
energy rates so high,” says Tye
Leishman, co-owner with his wife
Jeanette of Tempco Refrigeration
and Air Conditioning, “the ROI
has never been better.”
ROI means return on invest-
ment and Tye estimates there will
be a five to 10 per cent ROI when
a new heating system is put in a
home. “You need to do the math,”
adds Tye. “You’ll see that invest-
ing in your home will be the best
return on your money. What other
investment provides actual im-
proved comfort you can feel?”
A 100 per cent locally owned and
operated union company, Tempco
keeps its diverse staff busy in-
stalling high efficiency heating
systems including gas furnaces
and fireplaces, heat pumps and
energy saving on-demand hot
water systems along with com-
mercial refrigeration service and
maintenance. Working with Tye
and Jeanette are Matt McDowell,
Dean Merrick, Colin Turner, Keith
Brown, Adam Heinz, Kris Carlson
and Haydan Fetterly.
When Steve and Jill Waghorn’s
gas furnace started to show signs
of age and the limits of the tech-
nology of its era, they had Tempco
come and give them a recom-
mendation and quote for a new
unit. “We decided on the York
Gold Comfort System and were
happy with the attention given
to us as well as the installation
itself. Thanks to Tye, Matt, Colin
and especially Keith, who held to
his promise of not having us go
without heat or hot water the first
night. We live in an older home
and were impressed with how
they made it adapt and the mini-
mal disruption we experienced.
We would recommend Tempco for
its service and workmanship.”
Another couple, Bill and Janet
Chinn, after two years of “hem-
ming and hawing,” finally re-
placed their gas furnace with
a new York high efficiency heat
pump. “This was a huge step for
us as obviously there is signifi-
cant cost involved to doing such a
thing,” says Bill. “Having said that,
I can tell you that not only was
Tempco’s quote consistent with
others that we received, but their
overall service and attention to
detail was second to none. Every
person in the company has their
own niche and they all worked in
concert with each other to provide
a seamless installation. They were
quick, polite, efficient, easy to talk
to and always seemed to have
time for our unending questions
and concerns. Their expertise was
unparalleled. When it was all said
and done, Tye presented us with
a handy binder with all manu-
als, paperwork and everything
else you would ever want to know
about our system. He always had
time to meet with us throughout
the entire process and didn’t stop
until we were completely 100 per
cent satisfied and comfortable.
“Being a person who believes
that the true measure of any
good and successful company is
not only in the ownership, but in
the people it employs,” adds Bill,
“both my wife and I can honestly
say that we would never hesitate
to recommend Tempco for any-
one’s heating and cooling needs.
They were truly a step above.
“My only regret, why didn’t we
call them two years ago?”
According to Emma and Matt
Larocque, “The service we re-
ceived from all the staff at Tempco
was excellent. They provided us
with information on all our op-
tions and helped us to make the
best decision for our situation.
We were thrilled to see the back
of our oil furnace and grateful to
Tempco for their professional,
friendly, knowledgeable service.”
Tempco employees encourage
all current and future customers to
drop by and visit their informative
booth at this year’s Home Show at
Powell River Recreation Complex
from May 11 to 13. Tempco will
have an operational heat pump on
display as well as great giveaways
and lots of information.
Tempco employees are al-
ways happy to provide details
on their products and services.
