3D HELICAL ANTENNAS
AND RF FEEDS
HELICAL ANTENNAS HRP series Helical Antennas are available for circularly polarized RF systems including: DATA LINK, MOBILE SATELLITE, BASE STATION, FTS (FLIGHT TERMINATION SYSTEM), and SIGNAL MONITORING APPLICATIONS. Helical antennas are available for use in ground-based systems, shipborne platforms and airborne applications. Circularly polarized Helical antennas are ideally suited and regularly deployed for satellite communication, control and telemetry systems. Several models also include the beam tilt, optimized for SATCOM applications. Our innovative helical antennas for Remote Monitoring Station (RMS) applications (see Models HRP-15-RMS and HRP-15-RMSS provide a cost-effective solution to receive RF signals from a desired satellite while discriminating against the adjacent satellite. Carefully balanced elements result in isolation of at least 20dB between two signals from adjacent satellites. HRP-15-RMS effectively replaces two 3.7m L-band reflector antennas which have equivalent angular discrimination. CPA series Helical Arrays are comprised of multiple helical antenna elements for high gain applications. High-gain and high-power CPA antennas are designed for Flight Termination Systems. These antennas interface to high-velocity and high-acceleration pedestals. These arrays are designed to withstand winds in excess of 125 mph. Dissimilar metal junctions are eliminated in high power antennas to improve corrosion resistance. CPA-17/F1 is our high gain and very compact Helical Array Antenna assembly for INMARSAT F1 terminals. This antenna is intended to be used with new compact gimbals for smaller INMARSAT Ship Earth Stations (SES). This greatly reduces the swept volume of the marine antenna system. CPA-17/F1 (old model # 0124-800) is smaller in diameter than conventional standard A/B SES reflector antennas but conforms to INMARSAT F1 SDM gain, sidelobe envelope, G/T, axial ratio and polarization requirements.

HELICAL ANTENNAS 3DAND RF FEEDS
HQA series, Quadrifilar Helical antennas are available for applications requiring an antenna with a broad beam radiation pattern (half power beamwidths in excess of 145 degrees). The compact size and light weight of the HQA series antennas are attractive for GPS applications and INMARSAT standard C terminals. HAS series omnidirectional Helical antennas are available for cost-effective satellite communication links from mobile platforms such as trucks, railroad cars, locomotives, small boats, aircrafts, automobiles and handheld terminals. Our innovative and patented HMA series Helical Mast antennas provide high gain and omnidirectional coverage with an adjustable and variable elevation beam peak range. The elevation beam can be adjusted manually or remotely using a motorized mechanism. A multisection mast-type antenna HMA-LT (Old Model 9760-800) can be easily disassembled for storage in an 8” package for tactical applications. HELICAL FEEDS HCF series circularly polarized feeds are available for use in parabolic reflector antennas. Antenna feeds are available for use in antennas for L-band INMARSAT standard ‘A’ terminals including feeds for antennas aboard ships (Ship Earth Stations) and portable antennas. All feeds are used in our high gain INMARSAT / Standard ‘A’ and ‘B’ Ship Earth Station (SES) reflector antennas. Feeds are also available for GPS (L1 and L2), Ku-band DSS, telemetry and other reflector antennas for SATCOM applications. Special Ku band feeds are designed to retrofit and upgrade old L-band satcom antennas.

HELICAL ANTENNAS WORLDSPACE MARITIME
3D
APPLICATIONS
The HRP-‘W’‘X’‘X’ antennas are used by Worldspace maritime subscribers to receive Worldspace’s digital radio programming. This new satellite service features entertainment, weather, digital messaging and fisheries information for sailors. Seavy Engineering’s omni antennas receive the Worldspace satellite signal and connect to the Worldspace receiver. Two antennas (one LHCP and one RHCP) are used to fully utilize all of the Worldspace radio channels. Separate antenna model numbers are used for Atlantic and Mediterranean maritime areas.
These antennas can be easily installed on small boats, yachts and commercial vessels. Because of their 360-degree omni-directional azimuth pattern and broad elevation coverage, they will receive the Worldspace signal in all but extreme boat motions. SPECIFICATIONS:

SPIRAL ANTENNAS 3D
CONICAL LOG SPIRALS
Our CLS series antennas are compact, moderate gain conical log spirals designed to transmit and receive signals over a broadband. CLS antennas are available for left or right circular polarization. The customer should specify the desired polarization when ordering the antenna. These antennas are also capable of receiving signals in both linear and circularly polarized fields. CLS antennas are ideally suited for use in anechoic chambers and enclosures where space is at a premium and isolation is critical.
Standard CLS antennas are intended for relatively permanent installations. The antenna cone is supplied with a mast, which can be mounted on any tripod with a 1/4-20 stud. CLS antennas may be supplied with special mounting holes in the base plate for end mounting.

3DSPIRAL ANTENNAS
CAVITY BACKED SPIRALS
Our CBS series cavity backed spirals are broadband antennas designed for ECM, surveillance, direction finding, telemetry, and flush mounted airborne applications. These spirals can be used as a separate component antenna or as broadband feeds for reflector type dish antennas. All CBS series spiral antennas exhibit an excellent impedance match and radiation pattern control over the broad operating bands in a compact and lightweight package. These spirals are ideally suited for amplitude matching and phase or gain tracking. The unit-to-unit uniformity and frequency independent performance is ideal for airborne monitoring receiving systems. All cavity-backed spirals are available in RHCP or LHCP. These spirals have been designed to operate in a harsh environment and meet the extremes of the MIL-E-5400 Class 2 specification.

SPIRAL ANTENNAS 3D
EQUI-ANGULAR SPIRALS Our equi-angular spiral antennas are designed for impedance and pattern characteristics, which are essentially independent of frequency over the design range. These antennas are ideal for search applications where the polarization of the signal is unknown and/or where freedom from multipath interference effect is desired. The beam is right-circularly polarized on axis off one face, and the left-circularly polarized off the other. The pattern goes to zero in the plane of the spiral. The ESA-220/A and ESA-3/B are suitable for indoor applications and may be used for low power transmitting. The construction is such as to minimize size and weight, and it can be rolled or folded for ultimate portability. The antenna is fed at the center by a miniature coaxial cable. The ESA-330 antenna is available with a lightweight protective radome.
