Congenital Heart Defects (CHDs) are the most common birth defect, affecting nearly 1 in 110 babies in the U.S., and the leading cause of birth defect-related deaths. The Children’s Heart Foundation is the leading organization solely dedicated to funding CHD research, and since 1996 has funded nearly $14 million in research to advance the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of congenital heart defects.
